Hey everyone. As my title says,I'll be moving across the country..from Va to Las Vegas at the end of Nov. I have my one beardie,3 cresties and a leopard gecko. Just wanted to know ANY advice you guys have for traveling with them, like what to carry them in,heating for the leo etc. ANY help would be appreciated. My beardie Reptar is the easiest of the 5,he'll sit on my shoulder or in my lap the whole time, but the others I'm having trouble with!! Thanks in advanced!!

Get some Uniheat packs so you can provide consistent heat. They're made for transporting reptiles accross country.

How long will this journey take?

For the dragon, I recommend having at least a cat carrier or small animal/guinea pig/rabbit carrier in case he gets squirrely during such a long trip. Plus, you'll want to give him a nice place to snuggle up and sleep that's comfy and enclosed to help reduce stress.

The cresties should also be relatively easy. Just set up a large sized critter keeper for all three (not sure if they live together or are separate) or smaller/medium ones for each individual gecko. Put damp paper towel in the bottom, some fake or real plants, and maybe a little stick or vine. Mist part way through the trip.

For the leopard gecko, you can either use another cat/small animal carrier, or one of those low, medium sized plastic bins with a lid (drill holes in the lid and in the sides around the top for ventilation), or use a plastic breeder box. It's like kritter keeper, but long and low. Put a Uniheat heat pack it in (activated) and also a hide. Place a wash cloth over the heat pack so it doesn't get too warm for the gecko.

Should all be really easy. It's not nearly as daunting traveling with reptiles as people think.

Beautiful, that's what I was thinking along the lines of,just wanted to make sure it was the best way. For the heating pack,do I literally place it inside or do I tape it outside the carrier on the bottom?

I would place it inside and just wrap it in a wash cloth. You could tape it to the bottom, but then the cage wouldn't sit level and with driving in a car, it would be more likely to tip over. Plus it will still make the plastic too hot like that, so you'd have to cover the bottom of the tank with something as well. Wrapping the heat pack in cloth will help it last longer as well.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
