mouth gape and hand spasm?!

I came home and he's under his basking light with his mouth open. he's also moving his 'right hand' around but not the arm.

i'd show a picture if i knew how...

My Bearded Dragon used to open his mouth sometimes, I read in a book that there are close to being cooked, maybe you should lower the tempature for a while. As for the hand spasm i'm not sure what to do.

What a handsome fellow! Looks likes he is just regulating his temps. They do that to cool down when they don't feel like moving. Now if he were doing this on the cool side THEN you should worry.
Just to check though- What is the basking temp and waht is the cool side temp? Also what kind of thermometers do you use and where do you place them?
