Mounting UVB in tank

I have a 40 gal tank with a screen top that slides out I'm trying to figure out a way to mount the UVB inside. The UVB is housed in a plastic box and is currently on top of the tank along With the heat lamp. I want to A. Get rid of the screen top B. get the UVB either suspended above or in the tank C. Hang the heat lamp above the tank. I will post pics but anyone with some advice would be amazing. Thanks guys!

I am having the same issue with my new exoterra tank, someone posted on my thread that you can mount the uvb to the back of the tank using what ever (velcro, sticky tab, ect.) and do it that way. I think what I am going to do is make my own top, kinda like a crossfire tank but just make a topper for the tank. Would work great for me since it has doors on the front and would only have to remove to clean. Thats my 2 cents.

Have you taken off that plastic part covering the bulb? I don't think any uv can get past that and it needs to be removed

Buy an under cabinet fluorescent fixture from walmart, -$10. Use 3m double sided tape or 3m command strips to mount it to the glass, which you can also get at walmart.

I tried the things screwed in with a tiny screw that I don't have a screw driver for I need to wait til Wensday before I get it from my parents I'm afraid I'll break the bulb if I break the plastic!

I got the plastic piece off!
