Mounting lighting inside of tank

I am moving my beardie to a larger tank (it's about 2.5x larger) and have gotten a longer UVB fixture [and bulb] along with another heat light (lower wattage) to heat the cage evenly when it starts to get cold again...

My question is what's the best way to mount the UVB fixture in the tank? It wont sit on the rim of the tank safely and there might not be a screen cover on the tank as I'm still debating whether it's necessary since I don't get bugs flying around the house all the time. It's literally just a hood fixture that would normally sit on top of the tank, but I wanted to mount it inside but do so safely. I heard about this acrylic foam tape (VHB tape by 3M) that is supposedly the strongest tape in the world, but I'm curious if anyone has any other ideas?

I really just don't want the fixture falling in the tank and shattering the bulb and hurting my beardie, but a screen cover with such a large tank will just filter out too much of the UVB.

On the back of the light fixture are there any mounting holes or brackets? I use Command Strips/Hooks from 3M mounted directly on the glass under my screen and the light hung from that.

Is that pretty much the same...just hooks? My biggest concern was what temperatures the adhesive could take along with humidity (generally stays around 40% in the tank because it's always around 80% outside anyways). I've tried lowering humidity to no avail and have noticed no adverse health effects associated with it. I also keep the tank quite clean for anyone worried about the humidity.

I would think the effect of either on the adhesive would relate to its setting period (I was going to let it set for 48 hours on the tank). There aren't any mounting brackets or anything on the fixture. It appears that the only anticipated use was to lie on top of a screen or across the mouth of the tank and lie on the actual rim of the tank. It's a large tank and no UV fixture fits quite right unless I go WAY to big which is just silly.

Do the command hooks from 3M work well without issues? The tape I wanted to use is from 3M and supposed to be able to hold just about anything (they use it to set windows on buildings) so I suppose the other issue would be maneuverability. If I ever absolutely needed to move it I suppose I should find out if acetone or some other chemical will allow me to remove it.

Yeah, the command hooks I've been using work with no problem. I uses them everywhere in my house too. XD

I'd try the tape. If that doesn't work, you can always get the command hooks, and just...don't use the hook part. The sticky pad is separate from the hooks (I think you might even be able to buy them on their own?) and you can just use them directly between your tank wall and lighting fixture.

I was having that same concern, I actually have lots of different types of command hooks (our landlord doesn't want holes in the wall) my only concern was we had issues with them holding light curtain rods and they were supposed to hold up to 4lbs.

Can you post pics of yours icelore?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
