That looks like a normal BD to me...lol A real normal. Maybe some citrus in the mix. You dont see normals anymore. What is it that makes an anery?

What would be the signs of citrus on Kappa my male? If its the bright yellow that isn't his color since the people at the lps kept him on bright yellow vita-sand which I hate... but he has since shed and it lacking the bright yellow now....

Citrus dragons are not always super bright yellow. If the parents are citrus, then so is yours. Its hard to tell without knowing the bloodlines.

Only way I know to find out what he carries gene wise is to breed him to a couple different females that carry different genetics to solve the equation... :)

This stuff is difficult to determine, because dragons are so variable. One could say that a normal grey dragon is anerythiristic(lacking red) or axanthic(lacking yellow), but in order to find out for sure, multiple breedings need to be done. The anery's in my collection, popped out of red dragons. When they are bred, they produce red's.I will try to attach a pic of one. He has patches of orange around his head and back(because the red is removed), and the rest of his color is lavender/purple. His siblings that did not turn out anery, all have red and orange color. /Users/joshdovenbarger/Pictures/iPhoto Library/Previews/2011/08/24/20110824-234127/100_2472.JPG

To me a normal bd is more tan/yellow. Most wild bds I've seen pictures of and ones in pet stores from my childhood were tan to yellow/brown.. I think when breeding for colors began some increased in yellow/red, and reduced in black/grey, some did the opposite

The one bbd posted in that thread looks like granite or some stone. To me it looks just as cool as snows, luecistic, etc.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
