Morph?

Hi all, I was wondering if my one dragon is a morph, I took some pics with my phone while I bathed her. I noticed she looked red without flash so was wondering.

Its defiantly a Tanfire!!! Very nice markings. Read this post. I think your dragon is very nice cause I love dragons in all colors.

Pogona Vitticeps is the breed.

Hypo's have all clear nails because they lack the dark pigment called melanin. Also makes the lighter color pop.

Leather backs derive from a breeding program with a goal to bread a smooth dragon. Keep breeding the smooth to the smoother.

Silk backs- breed two leather backs together.

Het- dragons ability to pass on a trait. Het/hypo= looks like a normal dragon passes on hypo trait.

Translucent- have compleat black eyes.

Witblit's - a breed being developed where the dragons have no distinguishing markings ie one solid color.

Morph- the color grade of the dragon made up names by breeders.
Citrus
Sandfire
Snow
Anyway that's a little laymen brake down as I understand it.
So wht do you have well both have dark shoulder pads so not hypo's.
Both don't have black eyes or transparent skin so not translucent's.
Both have spikes around the head and on there backs so not leather or silk backs.
Both have very nice marking's on there backs so there not witblit's.
They both could be HET but you wouldn't know till you bread them.
That leaves you with a morph.

I posted that to someone else that wanted to know if they had a morph? And yes they did and so do you and is it a designer morph or fancy well I guess not if you where to ask the breeder's that have put in the time and energy to selective breed out traits and genetic abnornalities to come up with something rare and more desirable to some. But then again I just like dragons of all morphs....especially the rare Tanfire!!!

It still look's Normal to me. I also have never seen or herd of a "TanFire" unless that Mean's Tangerine Fire???

I have seen many many Beardies that look Exactly like your's. Normal's are Normal's, but a lot of people also have "High Color Normal's" which mean's it is still a Normal, just has more Color than the Average Normal..

And He actually can Not say it is a "Tanfire". To say the Actual Color Morph, you would have to know the Morph's and Bloodline of the Parent's and Grandparent's.

All you can say is it "Look's like"..You can Not say "It is"...

Now if your Beardie had all Clear nail's, then we could say "For sure" that it is a "Hypo" because all Hypo's have clear's nail's unless they are Het. Or say if your Beardie had No Scale's or had very smooth small scale's we could "For sure" say it would be a Leather back or a Silkie because that is the Visible Gene's with those Certain Morph's.

Thank you all for the input! 1968dart thank you so much for the info, actually determined with that that my other dragon is a Sandfire dragon, I asked the other dragon's breeders and he is a Sandfire, they somehow failed to mention that -.-

I was wondering if she was normal, but her brother doesn't have all the red she has, on the pictures you can't see but around her eyes she has a lot of red and her arms are red. I'm going to see if she gets the right UVB what will happen with her color, I say this because the other 2 got Repti-Suns and their colors enchansed quite a bit.

I was wondering if my other dragon is also normal? If she is grumpy she is a sandy color, but if she is in a good mood she is a beautiful White color, with a flashing partly yellow beard and a hint of red. The red appeared about 2 months ago. Is it possible for them to get new colors with age?

Russel you better believe I can call it a Tanfire cause I made it up. If you read my post I was making haha. It is a normal dragon. Throughout my post I was trying to convey how morph are made up names for dragons that have been breed to show a certain trait like reds ( sandfire) since the dragon was mostly of the tan color....(Tanfire) I thought it was funny. Anyway it's a nice dragon as are most. Maybe it's a German Giant!!

Honestly man...I had No clue you were trying to be funny, or Sarcastic about the Whole "Color Morph" thing, I knew you were explaining it, but the way you typed it, looked like you were Dead set on it being a tanfire. lol

That's why when I first read Tanfire, I commented and said "TanFire he say's"...it just sound's funny.

Penelepe they are nice Beardies and welcome to the forum. Here's a picture of my newest dragon Rusty. He's a normal. No bloodline's to any breeder's that I know of. I got him out of a kids basement.
I'm going to use him to start my own morph... Maga super duper awesome morph. $5500 buck for one and $2800 for a 100% Het maga super duper awesome morph.
