Morio Worms

Hi

Any advice about Morio worms guys, are they any good to feed as a staple for my beardies. They ae roughly 1 1/2 yrs old, he is 18 inches nose to tail tip, and she is 16 inches nose to tail tip, however she does have the tip of her tail missing :-?

Yeah they're fine to feed beardies over 16inches. I feed these alongside locusts every day for variety. I don't think you should feed too many in a week so i usually just give her 5-6 in a bowl each day- some times she eats them all, some times she doesn't Be careful handling them, the little buggers bite :shock:

i will feed them with hoppers so they don't get bored
oh don't worry i won't handle them, i got feeding tweezers :wink:

I really can't stomach handling the live food, it's bad enough i gotta carry em in a box, jumping around everywhere, i'm getting quite good with the tweezers :lol:

haha, i can't believe how well adjusted ive become to the live food- i'm now the allocated go-to person to get rid of any bugs at work

Hey folks.............what are Mario worms and how big are the locust you feed them?

I have 1 beardie and 2 frillies, they are all 3 eating machine's..... i'm always looking for cheaper way to feed them, and we have locust and Cicad's all over the place here

Morio (Zophobas) worms are the same as superworms in the US. I feed my 18inch beardie size 5 locusts (about 1 inch in length)

yeah i too feed the same size locust to my female, an she loves them, my male however isn't fussed on them or crickets so needed something else, he loves the morio worms, he stands and guards them for about 5 mins before he'll eat them, sooo funny
