What bulb did you get T 5 or a T 8 and where is it? Placement is key here

T5, and it's sitting on the lid over the center of the tank

If your screen is fine mesh like a screen door it needs to go inside the tank - if its a wide holed screen like a dime it can sit on the top --- inside 12-15 inches directly about basking decor piece -- 8-10 inches on top of w/ basking decor piece directly underneath
