Miss Lizard AKA Mr Lizard

We got Mr. Lizard from Petsmart December 1st 2012 and he was 5''
He is now 6'' as of January 4 2013
He likes to spend most of his time in his camo hamock soaking up some rays.

This is the first day we got him.

This is what he does between 6:30-7:00pm I think he has his timed lights down pretty good

Ugh he is so lazy I can not seem to get any 'different' shots of him. I am so jealous of everyones babies they seem to be all over the place playing with their surroundings.
Mr. Lizard flies off his perch or hammock to eat then goes right back where he was. :? He went swimming in his pool a week ago but of course I didnt have the camera on hand.

Shed complete except for a spot near his back leg. The cream bars on his back had a blue tint to them when he was under his uvb lamp

Still eating 5-7 cricks in the morning and at night average 10 a day. He gets fresh greens in the morning and I introduced him to blueberries, raspberries, and black berries yesterday but he has yet to try them. He gets apple a couple times a week and eats those. It took him a week to eat the apples so after a few more days of berries sitting in there I think he will try them.
I have been working with him for a week now getting him to calm down and not be so scared. He now walks into my hand to eat a small mealworm. Yes I know they are bad but they are smaller then his head so I feel ok about it. Today was day 8 and I didnt use the meal worm just stuck my hand in there and slowly moved it up under him and he finally let me pick him up out of the cage and let me hold him for a few minutes so we are getting somewhere. So now we can move onto putting fruit or greens on my hand until he gets bigger.

This is the spot where he sleeps every night but tonight looks like he is dreaming of yoga? :shock: ouch! :lol:

He is so cute! Mufasa likes to sleep similarly, it looks like he is trying to crawl up the glass. Must be comfortable or something. But really he is just the cutest ever!

I had an app this morning and was late feeding him so when I opened the cage he flew off his hammock before the cricks even hit the ground :lol:

I am amazed at how fast these guys grow! I wanted to re name him Chubs but my son wont let me :lol:

Wow he must be going through a growth spurt or transition because he ate 19 crickets at breakfast! He usually only eats 7-12!!

Chillin in his sand box every morning for the past few days now. He is really starting to get comfortable in his home. Im trying to figure out at what age to build his large enclosure. Is it 6 months or a year?
Just for a FYI if you decide to make a butter tub sand box make sure you take some sand paper and smooth the edges out

He did not like me cleaning his cage this morning. He would come at me then step back and puff up. I guess he was just in ''the mood'' today :lol:
My camera is horrible as his color is very light cream color. He went up on crick size and loves his daily veggies.
He still acts terrified of me but I am able to touch his chin for about 7 seconds before he flips out. I hope he will come around as he gets older. It worries me that he will always be like that
