Hello,
I was just playing with my two beardies and I realized that miss Bella's nails are almost non existent in the back.. She is in a 4x2x2 viv with slate tiles and half carpet as her substrate. She is a very active beardie, and is either active or lazy really depending on me, like if I have the day off work and have time to play with her all day, she cant STAND staying in her viv. If I am around the cage and active, she is like "What ab me?!?! I wanna run around" she will glass dance and pace along the glass of the viv until I let her run around the entire 5,000 sq ft house... Other days when I work a lot she is pretty lazy, eating and basking for a little then a poop then a long after noon nap. Anyways, I just looked at her feet and the nails have been pretty worn down on the long toe and the others, although she doesnt seem to be in pain. She will let me touch her feet and toes and doesnt have any problem. She wont pull her foot back from me or show any signs of discomfort. I have never clipped or trimmed her nails.. Is this okay since she wore them down her self? Is the slate tile serving its purpose too much? Please let me know what you guys think and what I ought to do about my girl.. She is a little over a year old and about 17-18 inches long. THanks!
