I recently got a bearded dragon from PetSmart. I've tried to feed them crickets, and greens but they just won't eat. I talked to the guy at the pet store and he said to feed them meal worms and that it's better for them to be impacted than to starve. They ended up eating four meal worms but the next two days they threw up. I figured they were impacted so I've been giving them warm baths. They pooped twice and started to eat again but now they've stopped. I thought they might be impacted again so I gave them another bath and their poop was white and runny. They will only eat about three crickets a day and no greens. I've read forums and I've checked the temperatures and I mist them once a day. I don't know what is wrong and I just want them to be happy :(

Hi there Gravy, he is a beautiful little leatherback. :) Looks pretty good in that pic, I agree that the mealworms were too much for him and should not be fed. It's O.K if he's only eating a few crickets at a time, he is in a new place so they go through relocation stress. Be sure that the crickets are no longer than the space between his eyes, that's very important . Just give him some time, you can also offer water dripped on his snout or lightly spray him once a day to let him lick the drops, just don't get the tank wet.

To be sure he's set up properly can you list the exact type + rand of lights you have , what his temps. are [ if they're low it can cause vomiting if he can't digest food ] and include pics of his set up ?

I figured out what the problem was(temps and lights) He is much happier now, he's running around, eating, and drinking water! Thank for the reply though, I had no idea he was a leatherback :)

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
