I have read that it is safe to feed these to a juvi but I am just wondering in what sort of quantity. I want to get the baby snack pack from mulberry farms (2 cups baby hornworms, 2 cups baby silkworms, 200 med. Reptiworms, 500 micro supers)...I want this to last 2 weeks so I am wondering if it is ok to feed him 35 micros a day or is that too much? All he eats right now is reptiworms (50 two times a day)...if I am lucky I can get him to eat 2 or 3 crickets. I want to get some more variety in there.

Micro superworms are very very small haha.
Your dragon would easily be able to eat that amount of them but,

The thing is they are not the most nutritious, especially for a growing baby. I would either go with buying something else, or limiting them pretty well. I don't know how much you could feed, because I never had, but with any new insect, you should start them off slow into the diet, and see from there.

I did the same thing.. except i bought the small super worms.. not knowing they were bad for juvies :banghead:

She loves them, so def getting them when she gets bigger. But she did NOT like the hornworms. And they always made me nervous with how big they get. I thought she was gonna choke on a couple or get impacted. Kept saying to myself "PLEASE POTTY" ... never gonna scare myself like that again with hornworms lol. I got the one cup where they aren't supposed to reach full size, but let me tell you.. there were a couple food hogs in that cup and they got HUGE. I actually had to set them free because i wasn't going to feed them to my beardie.

I would say no to super worms, and really think about the horn worms. The little 1 inch ones are fine.. but like i said, some of them are food hogs and do get very big.

I have yet to try silk worms. The only worms i give Pepper now are phoenix worms, which are the same as the reptiworms. But you never know what they like until you experiment a little.

Well my guy loves the phoenix worms and that is his primary staple. The issue with them is that the 1,000 pack only lasts 10 days and costs $42 after shipping. If I want to add an extra 400 in there to make it last 2 weeks...well it increases the price to like $70 which is too much. Because they only ship Monday through Wednesday, it makes the 10 day cycle a pain.

I figured that I could do $50 every 2 weeks which is why I was looking at this pack. I read somewhere else that it lasts 2 weeks.

If the worms do get too big, we have a monitor that could probably eat them no problem so I wouldn't really be wasting anything. I just want to do some more variety and keep it at a maximum of $25 a week. The only thing I can get locally is large supers or crickets and he much prefers worms to crickets so I figured this might be a good idea.

Is there anything I can get a 2 week supply of for like $10 shipped where I could cut out 20 phoenix worms a day to make them last the full 14 days? I was thinking of just letting him eat 40 worms per feeding then putting him in a bin with some crickets but I already know he won't touch them unless he is really really really hungry...and even then at this point he will eat maybe 5 and then sit there staring for 10 mins.

Have you tried dubia? There's a couple sellers in the For Sale section that sell them cheaper than crickets. They don't jump, don't smell, and aren't noisy.. and are kinda squirmy like worms.

Your beardie might like those. :)

Unfortunately dubia are illegal where I live. I have looked into roaches that are legal here (discoids and cranifer) but have not had any success finding someone willing to ship to florida...nor have I found anyone in state to sell me some. I did find some hobbyists but they said they don't have enough to be able to sell some.
