My old girl has no issues. Do we need to adjust hers too or just my little girl with MBD?

Good idea on the towel. Also looking at solid hammock options.

I would switch both lights. Carolina Designer Dragons sells solid hammock options if you don’t sew. If you do, you can pick up fabric and use her current hammock as a base for her solid one.

Yeah we are going to get a cheap one. Suggestion on to SECURLY mount it inside? Bc the idea of it terrifies me.

Red light is the tank next to her - basking bulb for my old lady. Really helps her activity

Depending on the light fixture you get, either heavy duty command strips or zip ties. I got 2 new light fixtures from Carolina’s at NARBC last month that’s LITERALLY just the light socket for the fluorescent bulb, took 2 zip ties and zip tied the unit through the metal mesh at the top. I’ve also done the command strips though. I usually recommend doing 3 on the light fixture, to decrease the possibility of it falling.

What are her temps? Also, what kind of heat lamp do you use for her? And are you using the red bulb in your old girl’s tank to raise the temperature?

My old girls temps are 70-80. Anything over that she overheats and gets ill signs. vet said my old girl is ridiculously healthy and not to change a thing.

My younger one with MBD ranges 80-90 comfortably

The price is actually right in line with most of the other T5 HO sockets that are sold on Amazon. If you don’t want to spend that much, get a normal under the counter fluorescent light holder like this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/aw/d/B002DN94IG/ref=mp_s_a_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1507868239&sr=8-6&pi=AC_SX236_SY340_QL65&keywords=under%2Bthe%2Bcounter%2Blights&dpPl=1&dpID=31%2BLp4bBp7L&ref=plSrch&th=1&psc=1

Personally, I feel like the T5 socket was a fantastic purchase for both of my babies, and definitely seems to have helped both but that’s just me.

Hello,

I am sorry your girl has metabolic bone disease. That is rough for her!
I highly recommend getting the T5 Reptisun or the T5 Arcadia D3 both of which are very
good.
That particular compact/coil light hasn't emitted enough UVB so her bones became brittle
due to her not absorbing calcium very well. Which calcium are you using?

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
