To use the Megaray 100.
Do i need the balast? Or can i go and buy a bulb only.

Im planing to build a tank and would like built in lighting. Can i use the normal home depo fixtures? and do the highquality cable extender trick. as stated in teh crossfiresystems..

just buy the self ballest one they sell 2 types self ballest and external ballest

Im not understanding what the balast does. The other UVA/UVB bulbs on the market dosent have an option of with/without balast.
If this needs a balst i think I might go with the T-Rex UVA/UVB bulb considering it would be half the price.

nvm i was looking at he UK version..
its 46.99.
So i order that.
