I am trying to figure out my enclosure and have it all set up and tested before getting a BD. I ordered Mega-Ray EB 60 watt Flood UVB Lamp Kit which hasn't arrived yet. I also ordered their heat projector because "This 60-watt energy-efficient bulb produces very little heat. Be sure your reptile is heated properly and if necessary, increase the heat at the basking spot using a good heat source like our Mega-Ray® Heat Projector."

Now I am reading here, I should use a light with the UVB to protect the BD's eyes. Should this light be beside the UVB instead of the heat projector or can/should it be on the second basking spot the site talks about (if my enclosure allows)?

My enclosure is 2 x 4. The site says to use a 10in fixture for the UVB. How big should the heat projector fixture be or does it need one at all? Seems like putting 2 domes side by side means both will not be on the basking spot, the tail end will be under the UVB and head under the heat.

Also did everyone buy the sliding glass door runners or is there a homemade version posted somewhere?

Thanks

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
