i think thats what mom had in mind i dont know i want slim :( i would happily let mom have kept zora forever if slim would have stayed.....im not saying zora wont make her own place but it just hurts sometimes iv been crying off and on all day and i dont usualy cry much i am going to take zora with me because i need the cuddles i hope she can make her own place and she probably will but right now it hurts its almost like a betrayal of slim to take her so im torn i dont want to not put all my heart into her but it seems wrong

You should never see it as replacing Slim. :( Slim will always have a place in your heart, and will never be replaced or forgotten. But Zora is a little one in need of warmth, safety, and more importantly- love. I'm sure Slim won't mind sharing some of your heart with this new little girl. Since she can no longer use her things, then I'm sure she would want them to be used and appreciated (and pooped on! ) by another little one instead of collecting dust and creating sad memories.

She wouldn't want you to be sad. Remember the times you spent together, and the memories you shared. The loss will fade, but those never will.

~ *hugs* Jaime & Toothless.

I lost my first Dragon not too long ago. I rescued her and 3 years after I got her, she started laying eggs. She started hemorrhaging from one of her ovaries and they found a tumor taking up half of her liver. When I lost her, I was devistated as she was pretty young. I didn't think I'd be able to get another dragon for a while and was crying constantly. One of my friends was moving and didn't want her dragon anymore, so as much as I was afraid of forgetting Frank, I took this new dragon in. She is a completely different dragon than Frank was, and she (Pebbles) has helped me grieve and move on from losing Frank so suddenly. I know Zora will never replace Slim. I was thankful that Pebbles was so different from Frank. I noticed the differences and often thought to myself "funny, Frank would have done this in this situation instead of what Pebbles just did." Taking note of the differences in personality between Zora and Slim will help you remember all of the good times with Slim while embracing the new dragon you have to take care of.

Well i did bring zora home with me and she loves Slims house she likes the log and keeps kissing it it looked wrong with her there instead of Slim I started bawling but she looked so concerned that I had to stop. ..... she did so awesome on the way home sat on my chest the whole way. ..I think she was channeling Slim. She will make her own place in my heart but I still miss Slim terribly

OK an update on miss zora. ... she has started wiggling her way into my heart already. ...... she was so adorable this evening when I turned of the tank light and got her out for nighttime snuggles at first she was just looking around at everything as curious as any baby then after a couple of minutes she crawled up my chest snuggled into the hollow of my throat and went to sleep every now and then licking my neck. .... so precious

so good to hear! That's my favorite, when they push themselves into your neck to sleep. It really does melt your heart!

Zora is growing so fast she was eight grams and four inches long when she was brought home from the pet store. I took weights and measures last night and she is now five inches long nose to tail nip (almost half her tail is gone) and she weighs sixteen grams and this was after a big poop. She is growing so fast

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
