meet Trixie, the new addition to our beardie family....

I seen an ad on the local craigslist that said bearded dragon, cage, & accessories make offer so me being a good person I emailed for pics, and made an offer of $50 for it all after seeing pics of her and the tank... the lady said the guy who had her was going to kill or dispose of her due to her killing another beardie which I assume was smaller than her... I congradulated her for saving her... she is in great shape and eating great... I will be picking her up later today along with her 40 gallon breeder tank and accessories... the lady was being picky but after sending her pics of my other beardies and detailed schedule I have for my other 5 and diet of them she chose me over 4 other people to give her a new home... can't wait to get her and will be posting new pics once I get her home....

Got her home after her taking a big poo in my lap coming home... her name ended up becoming Trixie cuz its October, Halloween, and her being extreme orange and slight back side bars... will be posting pics the next day that it isn't raining and is sunny to get a good pocket of her awesome coloring...

Trixie is adorable as well as her name That is wonderful you were able to get her. That guy on the other hand, is very cruel for wanting to hurt that poor beardie for something that was HIS fault. It's his fault that the other beardie got killed. If he would have been more educated, he wouldn't have put them together.

The girl who she was dumped off on didn't know much about beardies as she is a snake person was happy I got her.... now if I could just get the residue and stuck shed off the poor girl I could show how different she looks without the dirt and dead skin... I have soaked her in warm warm water that isn't hot but warm enough that when you put her in It she automatically poops... trust me what I am finding under he dirt isn't the run of the mill petshop beardie either...

Sounds like she's gonna have a wonderful home and life with you. Yeah the baths tend them to relax them which enables them to poop. Our Yoshi poops in his but not all the time. Did the girl say how old Trixie was?

She doesn't really know but I'm estimating to be around a year to a year and a half and right now is at about 19 inches but her weight I dunno but she is a heavy butt and doesn't seem to have any issues other than being dragon aggressive (kinda like dogs being aggressive to other dogs lol)

The neatest part is 20 clear nails on top of her eyes turning to a whitish blue from the normal goldish color:

I just wish she wasnt so aggressive towards my other adults... she was seen by a vet (my brother) yesterday after getting her and had a stool sample & blood work done and she has a clean bill of health and no buggies on the inside... She knocked a window screen over on my male which didnt hurt him as he was in the middle of the screen and started dragging her all over the bathroom floor... I held her cuz i would rather get bit then have my others get tore up... After dealing with monitors and tegus, beardie bites arent nothing... aint nuttin that peroxid and neosporine wouldnt heal up lol...

I know I can't wait to get all the dirt and stuck shed off to see what she is supposed to look like... she is doing good appetite wise... loves chasing the crickets around the tank... have to order crickets again cuz all I have is small crixs and no big one cuz the fudgers died what wasn't fed to the beardies
