Hi All, I think i figured out how to post pics, so I am gonna give it a try now. Taylee became a member of our family in the beginning of May after we sadly had to donate Arie to a woman who is trying to rehabilitate him. Tay Tay is 9 months old. She is a big big eater  She is a bit lazy, I dont know if this is a normal thing for baerdie's? She loves her baths :D She is adorable, and we are so happy 2 have her :blob5:

Awww! :love5: Tay Tay is such a cutie she looks to be quite a sweetheart.

Laziness is one of the traits of a beardie. They are active little guys when they are small but as they begin to mature they get quite lazy. Nice job the hubby did on the enclosure it looks like from those pic's...he gave your lazy lizard lots of nice spots to be lazy on.

Thank u sooooo much :!: I am takin more pics right now so u can see her whole enclosure. I will post them back on this in about 10 mins. if u have time and wanna check back. She doesnt like 2 be handled much, I am not sure why. She pulls out her beard and even hissed at me once. I want to handle her and snuggle with her on the couch, but she doesnt want to leave her house. Any suggestion on how I can get her 2 trust me? Thanks :love5:

Just be patient and persistant in handling her...she will when she is ready...once she gets use to her new invironment and owners...she will begin to trust you. I find that a lot of conversation with them and hand feeding can help this along sometimes to help with that relocation stress of having an new family and home.

Cool that looks very nice you must be proud of hubby. :D I know how hard it can be sometimes to get them to do the honey do list or special projects we come up with.

I couldn't help but notice one thing an I hope you don't mind that I mention it.
But it's the dial thermometer that is the one I had originally when I got my first beardie. Once I purchased a digital probe thermometer I came to find out that the dial was like 20* off.....plus there's no way to get a basking temp with it. I used the digital probe type for a couple of years...when I got tired of seeing the wires in my viv's. Plus even the Walmart digital probe thermometer at $12 each was a small fortune for 9+ viv's. So for about a year now I've been using the Infrared temp gun I love that thing it very accurate an it save me so much wondering and time...and no wires. It's a great handy dandy tool for beardie owners. The Harbor Freight Tools in our area carries several models some as cheap as $9.99 which is what I paid for mine. If your in the USA you can check to see if there's a Harbor Freight Tools near you here; http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/retail_stores.taf

Thank u so much! I will definatly look into getting one of those. I definately want her 2 have all the right temps. that she needs. You know, I was surprised by my hubby 2. He got so involved on her house all on his own. We both worked on it together and it was cool 2 work on it together. She was in a 20 gal the first 2 weeks we had her cause we were building her new home. She was a bit cramped so we worked day and night 2 finish it, and once we put her in it, she LOVED it! The great thing is it is so big it will keep her comfortable even when she is full grown. I loved all the pics of your beardie's. They are beautiful!

Thanks Annie, well thats what I am guessin your name is from ur avatar. She is so cool she loves to sit in the window and watch and watch. We live in Pa so it's not quite warm enough yet here to take her out. yours looks really cool tto, nice bright colors. The cage was easy 2 buily, prob. cost us about $250. We used plywood, stiafoam, plaster, and some cool spray paint, then sealed it. U can get all of the stuff from a Lowe's or Home Depot. Do u have more pics of your baby? Whats his or her name?....Amy

hehe, yes Annie is my name. Thanks for the compliment! I have two bearded dragons. Im babysitting one for my boyfriend and the other is mine. I started out with his in march once we looked at a adult beardie and we both fell in love. "Snuggles" had a rough time due to coccida and pin worms, but I think hes finally growing now! haha. not sure of his bloodline, but he will be a cutie.
My other beardie that my boyfriend got for me as a birthday gift (it was a suprise gift) was from the dragon hut. his name is "Chuy". i fell in love with him on chars site and i got him end of April!! Hes a orange hypoGG/citrusGG pairing, he came out more pastel, but hes getting BRIGHT! Ill post some links! He also loves to look out the window. i put him on the sill when im cleaning his cage and he just like to sit there being happy as a clam, or a beardie...heheh.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
