My adult gets a daily morning
bath in the regular
bath tub. He DOES NOT like poop in his viv at all! So each morning he has his soak and does his business in there. When he goes, I simply use a baby wipe to scoop it out, flush it down the toilet then sanitize the tub. He is used to
bathing so I just fill it up with warm (not hot) water up to his shoulders and let him roam about. I also use a very soft tooth brush to gently go over any tough shed spots.
The baby gets bathed nightly in a small plastic wash tub, similiar to one that hospitals issue to patients. With the babies, you have to be much more careful and offer support. Mine generally has his front legs/chest resting on my hand while his vent soaks in the water. The beardies absorb water thru their vent (nice word for anus). Some people also place a wash cloth or towel on the bottom so that the beardie doesn't slip and feels more secure.
The most important things to remember is to keep the water warm. About the same temp as you would for an infant. Also, to allow at least a 15 minute soak for adequate
hydration. My adult enjoys it sometimes; tolerates it at others. My baby is really starting to enjoy them. It seems to really relax him and he almost always goes to sleep.
