hi there-
We adopted Scritch from a friend yesterday. He and his tank mate Scratch were not geting along anymore.
Scritch was more agressive, but now that he's in his new tank, he seems pretty mellow.
He's 10 months old and our first Bearded Draagon. Looking forward to learning & sharing with everyone here- I've been lurking for the past 3 weeks trying to learn as much as I can.
Though my first newbie 'mistake'- in moving the screen on my tank to take him out this morning, in my excitement I left the MVB on and it was over the center divider & melted it a bit-

Thanks for the warm welcome.
Scritch seems to be settling in- he's a cuddler. Though he hasn't been too keen on eating salad & veggies- how long before I get worried?
I'm sure it's a combination of he doesn't have a climb higher to his basking lamp-yet.

We fed him a grub this morning & he ade it with such reckeless abandon & then attacked his veggies (butter leaf & red leaf lettuce from our garden). His previous owner had loaded him up on crickets the day we got him & said she only feeds protein (crickets, superworms) approximately every 5 days or so-does that sound right?
Thanks in advance
Mel

Scritch is so cute :D , it's nice of you to take him in. He seems to like you too xD. And some beardies don't really eat their salad, he's probably just settling in. Also, I think you should feed the proteins more like every other day instead of every 5 because he's only 10 months, right?

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
