After lots of research and deliberation, the boyfriend and I finally brought home our first Bearded Dragon babies. ^.^ Since we don't know their sex yet, we've dubbed them Red and Gold in part of their coloration.

The petstore said they were about 4 weeks old when we brought them home and that was about 4-5 days ago. Right now, I'd say they are reaching 6 inches long, nose to tail. They are still experiencing a bit of relocation stress, so they haven't been eating much at the moment, and I'm still finding out what works best for them and us, but they are eating. Red is shedding a little bit, so s/he is looking a little dull, but they just got a bath to help move that along.

I've been having some issues with the basking side of the cage. The temperatures like to fluctuate between 95 and 105, depending on the ambient temperature in our living room too, so when the boyfriend turns off our noisy furnace for a movie, it can drop a bit. However, I do still have a CHE as well to help keep the temps up and mostly constant. Mounted inside the tank is a Reptisun 10.0 UVB fluorescent tube. The tank I have at the moment is a little on the smaller side. 30"Lx12"Wx12"H, but a second cage is in the works, just waiting for them to be sexed and for some more money to come in.

And before you say anything, yes, currently they are housed together at the moment, but I'm talking with my cousin, who used to own snakes and lizards, if she has an extra set-up or at least pieces of it. I'm actually excited to re-arrange my living room just to make more room for them. So they will not be together for much longer.

So, without any more blabbering, I give you pictures of Red and Gold. I would love to know from anyone what Morph they are. Most of what the pet store was selling were Red Phase, but perhaps these guys are a different batch. *shrugs* Either way, I'm curious and if you know, I'd love to find out. Thanks!

A good shot of their markings.
The color doesn't come out well, but Red (bottom) is a very bright orange/red on the face, around the diamonds on his back,
and spots on his tail. While Gold (top) is more of a sandy yellow all over with dark brown markings.

Gold, being an awesome lounge lizard in the leaves.
This is on the cooler side of the tank, lots of little hiding places.

And who couldn't love these baby stick figures? =P

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
