Everyone, meet Loiosh.

He's new to me. I got him from Zookeeper in Austin and they said he's about a year old.

Loiosh is actually my second dragon. Lots of folks here helped me out trying to save my first one. After a truly disastrous experience with a PetSmart hatchling (see here for the saga: viewtopic.php?f=45&t=186549), I felt like I ought to go for an adult this time.

Loiosh is, well, he's wonderful. He rode home three hours in the car and promptly settled into his new home. He ate a few crickets and some salad the first night. Today he has chowed down on everything, pooped, had a bath, basked, gaped, and is currently sleeping under his hammock with his tongue sticking out. I am in love.

Love them! We will shortly have a bumper sticker (or something) that says, "Shut up, Loiosh."

And I thought I was the only one old enough to remember those...

Beard fluffing, snuggly-snuggles on my neck, copious eating, and curling up in his washcloth for the night.

Gah! I am so totally hooked on this guy.

And now he's madly belly-surfing everything in my office working on a shed. SOMEBODY is getting a big ol' Shed Aid soak tonight...

I think it's beyond cute when he scratches like a dog.

Loiosh's Feeder Checklist:

Crickets - yum! (although I'm not sure that running after them with your tongue sticking out is an effective hunting strategy...)
Dubias - yum!
Superworms - hell-to-the-yeah! Favorites, hands down.
Butter worms - yum!
Phoenix worms - OK in a pinch. Kind of small.
Hornworms - oh yeah! Love those little blue guys.
Mealworms - OK, but a lot of work for not much yum.

Green leafy things - Yummy and useful for decorating the viv.
Strawberries - not so much
Blueberries - yum!
Squash - yum!
Apples - yum!
Carrots - meh...

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
