'Hi everybody!'

I used to assume that reptiles\amphibians were too distant from humans to really associate meaningfully. But, then I stumbled upon this toad about 18 months ago:

He turned out to be so much more personable than I'd ever expected possible. This, coupled with the positive impression that a friend of mine's easily-handled uromastix left, prompted me to begin investigating what the most friendly lizard would be.

I suppose you can guess what the overwhelming suggestion was...

Hello and Welcome!! I love the picture of you and the toad, it's awesome! Your beardie is pretty cute too, how'd you manage to catch that photo?! Does your beardie have a name yet? I fell in love with reptiles after an introduction to bearded dragons through my boyfriend. After having Frank for only a month we adopted our Female Sunny. Then we adopted Doug our mali uromastyx, and shortly after that we adopted Lulu our leopard gecko! In the next few weeks we're going to be getting a third beardie. I never thought reptiles could be personable and loving. The reptile enclosures are quickly out numbering furniture in my house, it looks kinda cool though :mrgreen: Thank you for sharing your photos, looking forward to seeing more of your critters!

He certainly seems to enjoy waving. It's been cracking me up since I brought him home. Lee Zard was a lot more attentive than any of the other babies I'd looked at. He jumped right up into my hands, securing him(\her?)self a spot in my home.

The uros are a friend of mine's. The Saharan has not warmed up to human interaction very much, but his buddy (Spike) is a sweetheart.

welcome to the forum.i had to laugh when i saw the picture of the toad.i instantly thought of the hypno toad from futurerama.all you need to do now is photoshop the picture and put a swirling pattern behind the toad that would make such a killer picture.

Oh wow that is so sad!

You have no clue what could have caused it?

Your best bet would be an exotic reptiles vet. You could call them and ask them if they can do what you want to have done..

I'm sorry! I know how much it hurts. You could talk to a reptile vet, they can send him in for a necropsy (that's what they call it for reptiles).

I am so sorry for your loss, He seemed so spunky, as pp posted just call and exotic animals vet preform a necropsy also I would find out what the breeders policies are and if the baby was vet checked! again I am so sorry that this has happened!
