After using this forum to learn everything under the sun about how to care for our new boy over the last 2 months, I came to realization that I have gone full blown "beardie mamma", and finally registered as a user. This site has been an incredible wealth of information!

When we brought Elliot home from the NorCal reptile expo he was just 6wks and 4g (though they told us 8wks of course). Now's he's a hunking 56g at 14 weeks and gaining about 8g/wk!!!! The first few weeks were tough but now the kid is eating dubia, greens, and squash like they're going out of style. Not a bad kid for $50 from a python vendor at an expo. We realized he's definitely hypo (all 20 crystal clear nails) and is starting to get a lot of yellow coming into his beard and sides. I have no idea what is parents are so it's been really exciting to see how is colors are coming in after each shed (which is weekly at this point). Lots of citrus and orange on this kid with some blue that I'm hoping will stick around and start to pop. They grow up so fast!

Likes: eating buggos, pooping on his basking perch and staring at me smugly to clean it up somehow without touching him.

Dislikes: bath time.

At 6 weeks

At 14 weeks today

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
Mirage entered brumation yesterday, I'm gonna miss hanging out with my little guy.
Getting ready for another day. Feeling sleepy. 😴
