Thank you!! Yeah I don't mind entirely feeding him Phoenix worms, they are much easier to feed than crickets. And Ive tried wax worms, are they ok? He seems to like them a lotCooperDragon":1x2fbdbc said:He's a nice looking dragon. It looks like he has some leatherback traits. It's not uncommon for them to be picky eaters sometimes. At that age he will need lots of protein so keep up with the Phoenix Worms if that's what he likes at the moment. He should get a couple of meals all he wants to eat for about 10 minutes per. It's also a good idea to provide variety so don't give up on offering crickets and maybe mix in some silk worms as a treat if you can get your hands on some. I'd also provide a fresh salad every day. He may ignore it for now but it's good to let him know it's available as a food source because it can make the transition to a mainly salad diet easier at about 12-18months. There is a list of good items to provide in salads here http://www.beautifuldragons.com/Nutrition.html
I wanted to but I'm from Florida and I guess it's illegal here, too bad. I hear they are awesome feeders, expensive though.CooperDragon":xacdn1x6 said:Wax worms are popular with them but they are very fatty and don't offer much nutrition. I'd avoid them in favor of butter worms for the occasional treat and then focus mainly on the Phoenix and silk worms as your primary bugs. Might be worth trying some dubia roaches too if you can get them.
