give him a nice
bath and put a lil bit of soft soap in with him. not a lot that makes tons of suds. the soap will help pop any oxygen bubbles around the mites as he soaks. mites cant live under water. while hes soaking clean his whole cage. get a can of prevent a mite and spray all of his belongings with it, but not him. you can get some nix, the stuff for human lice, and mix it with a gallon of distilled water. and spray that on him. it is done widely in snakes and i have done it to my beardies when i have snake mites to just make sure they arent going to bet getting bothered. clean his cage with this also. kills eggs, as will the prevent a mite. keep him on paper towels for a while and keep the cage clean and keep cleaning it. when hes soaking pull him out and hold him firmly, lift up his head so you can check under his beard and near any skin folds there. they mites will hide around these, the cloaca, armpit areas and elbows. and for his eyes, be gentle, i put my finger near mine and they close their eyes. then i lightly with my pointer finger pull down on the lid and see if theres mites there. if there is keep pulling the lid and theyll come off on your finger. youll see what i mean when do you it. its not like pulling a lid down, its like rubbing it down. and they come off easy enough. and keep up with it. fighting mites is a hard battle sometimes and you have to work hard to fix the problem. hope this will help.
