I've ordered about 1000 meal worms to keep for my beardie hes about 7-8 months and i feed him super worms now he loves them and has being doing/feeling well but how many mealworms should i fee him a day?
I would avoid using mealworms as a staple bug so he shouldn't get many. I prefer to use a lower fat bug such as cricket or roach as a staple and offer other bugs as supplemental. Silk worms and hornworms are more nutritious options on a regular basis but mixing in some mealworms to the rotation shouldn't cause an issue. You can see the relative nutrition of some common feeder bugs here http://www.geckotime.com/nutritional-value-of-commercially-raised-insects/
I also just got some crickets when i put about 3 or 4 in the cage to see what he will do he basically ignored them except for 1 that he ate but he doesnt seem to be into crickets is it becuase its his 2nd time seeing them and hell just get used to them and start eating them over time?
That's usually related to their mood. Sometimes they'll chase crickets and sometimes they'll ignore them. I would keep offering them for a while to see if his mood towards them changes. They can be picky and stubborn sometimes, especially once they have a favorite bug =)
