Can anybody tell me the calcium to phosphorous ratio for morio worms, please?

Thanks

Superworms? I've tried to find this information and haven't been able to. I've read in two places that it is similar to the mealworm, but I haven't seen any actual numbers on them.

If anyone can find this information and post the source, I would be so pleased to know also.

So as far as a C:p ratio for superworms you are saying it is 1:18?

So, they don't seem a very good food.

My dragon just won't eat healthily.

She only eats kale, crickets and morio worms.

All other fruit and veg just gets ignored and I can't buy phoenix worms in the UK...although I think that they are the same as calci-worms and she wouldn't eat those either.

She's 9 months old and has grown to 19" and looks healthy, but her diet isn't great.

I dust the kale with calcium and vitamins, so that must be helping.

There are a few other factors that you can make sure are top notch for her and it will help. A good UVB light that is replaced as recommended, proper basking temperatures that facilitate the chemical changes that happen as the D3 is processed through the skin, into the blood and the organs, and dusting the feeders.

Are you able to obtain butterworms? They are expensive but are naturally high in calcium. If you can get silkworms, they are really great and they have a lot of protein. If you can get cheap incubator, like a HovaBator without the fan, and buy the silkworm eggs, you can raise them yourself. They are kind of time consuming to take care of, though.

I tried butterworms but she wouldn't eat them either...she's fussy!

I have good lights - a 12% Arcadia T5 D3+ and 150w basking lamp.

Argh! Picky girl! LOL

I have a dragon that I rescued who has severe MBD and I give him liquid calcium mixed in a small amount of baby food each day. The whole mixture is only 0.5mL so it is just a small amount, but I know for sure that he is getting his calcium. If you have a concern that your girl just isn't getting enough to compensate for the poor staple feeders, you can consider that. There is such a thing as TOO MUCH calcium, so depending on your level of concern, you can take her to a reptile vet and have a blood calcium level drawn. That will tell you with certaintly what her levels are and if there is cause for concern, and then you can make changes as necessary. :D
