put them in the fridge to keep them from turning into beetles. On the rare occasion that i have had this happen i fed those to my beardies. but if they turn into beetles i flush them haha.

I think so. But I wouldnt just to be on the safe side because their exoskeleton is so hard. But if your beardie is full grown it should be ok.

Your beardie shouldn't be eating the mealworm larvae themselves, much less the beetles. They are ok as a treat, but they have very little nutritional content and way to much chitin (exoskeleton) which increases the risk of impaction a lot. I would highly recommend you look at other feeder alternatives asap. :)

I actually keep my mealworms in a large plastic container with oatmeal and a slice of potato or apple. They turn into beetles all the time, then a little later I get tiny new mealworms. Oatmeal is cheaper than mealworms, any day. I feed Pogona whichever I have most of: mealworms or beetles. She prefers beetles. This has been her main source of insects for over a year now, with occasional crickets, and she is quite healthy. I do spot an occasional undigested mealworm in her poop, so I'm thinking of switching to something else or combining with something else.

I have never fed her the pupae. I prefer to get the beetles so they have a chance of reproducing, and she probably wouldn't be too interested. She seems to like the movement of the MW and beetles.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
