I know everyone says meal worms are bad, but I have a problem. He just doesn't like crickets, I finally got him to eat them yesterday, but now he just goes back to trying to escape his feeder box when the crickets are in there...he just doesn't like them. Out of desperation we got meal worms and he went right after those suckers. My order of phoenix's will be here in 2 days, you think meal worms are ok till then?

From what I've read, the problem with mealies is mostly their digestive issues and lack of nutrition. If you're in a bind, they're fine as long as they are small enough for your kid. My boy eats them on occasion when he's being bratty about his other feeders, with absolutely no ill effects. Better to have some protein than none. That said: watch the poo!! If he hasn't gone in timely fashion - not good. Sorry to offend anyone.. other opinions MUCH welcome! :D

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
