So I looked at my Temps today and it seems too be quite hot in Charlies tank... It's past 110degrees... But I'm guessing it's cause its really warm outside and in my house.. It's like +30 outside and not any better inside..
.what can I do to cool his tank down during the day without having to get new bulbs?? Please help... Charlie just isn't the same lately.. I get very upset when he isn't the same due to randomly losing my other baby lilo... Help!?

you can try raising the basking light higher... and make some how drop the temp in the room that he is in. I have a box fan on a open window blowing out with the room door open so the hair circulates out of the room.. it keep the room cooler.

That is too hot for a bd enclosure. Adults will probably be okay for a day but babies and juvies need temps in between 100-110 for basking. Try raising the basking light or lowering the basking spot. What are your cool side temps and what type of thermometer are you using? Put a fan on for now and make sure to mist him or give him a bath so he stays hydrated.

What type of thermometer are you using, digital strip, round gauge (dial), temperature gun or digital with long wire & probe end? What size tank is he in and what is the wattage of your basking bulb(s)?

If Charlie is an adult, the basking temp shouldn't be any higher than 103 or so otherwise he can get dehydrated and overheat. Would be a good idea to give him a warm bath and see if he wants a drink. Misting doesn't do much to help with dehydration and if you mist in the tank, it can raise the humidity too high which can cause an upper respiratory infection.

He has a red night lamp and a basking lamp and the uva/uvb lights. But because the weather was so hot and because the house was so hot his tank was getting hotter than normal... So all I did was turn the red lamp off and his Temps are good now.

That's good that you were able to lower the temps. What are the basking surface temp & cool side now? Please make sure you are using either a temperature gun or digital probe thermometer as those are the only 2 ways to get accurate readings. If you're using a round gauge (dial) type, those are very inaccurate and can be off 20 degrees or more.

We don't recommend every using the red lights as beardies do much better with bright white bulbs. Also, if you are using the red light at night, it can disturb their sleep as they can see the red color plus they need it cooler at night. If the tank temp drops to 65, we suggest using a ceramic heat emitter that gives off heat but no light.

He actually likes his red light.. Sometime during the night he will lay under it.. And he sleeps in his hide most of the time anyways.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
