Hello, I'm new to the board and new to the world of bearded dragons. I've had tortoises for quite some time and recently built a tortoise table for them and will be working with a 120 gallon tall tank for my beardies. I will be purchasing 2 bearded dragons in a little over a month and I'm currently looking for ideas on how to build a Viv background. What would be safe materials to use for them? (Since they taste their environment.) Would it be safe for me to get drift wood and stones from my local stream or river? (If not how come? They can be sanitized in the oven if necessary.) I'm looking to separate the tank with colored plexi glass. While having a basking area on both sides nearly mirror imaged while maintaining a climb/ledge along the back wall.
I've thought about using Plaster, Great Stuff dowgreatstuff.com, Cardboard, Wire Hangers (for supports), bricks, and water based sealant. For those of you that have done this before your help and knowledge would be greatly appreciated.
Thank You everyone!
