Materials Question

I have the wood for my enclosure, my father in law does woodworking for a living and gets great deals from a local lumberyard but he doesn't work with glass much. I was wondering if anyone got glass at Home Depot or Lowe's or did you go to a glass specialist?

I got acrylic from lowes and it cost I think like 16$ a panel. I needed two panels for my size. Had to cut a inch of from both.

Don't get glass from a big chain like Home Depot. Consult Yellowpages.com, Google, or some other resource for glass companies in your area. That should yield better prices, and will give you the option of getting glass cut to just about any size. Consequently, you can build your cage exactly how you want it.

I looked up a custom glass shop, had two doors cut to size for about $15.
