so i did a little research and notice people use sharpies or nail polish to mark their babies. is this ok?

also, how young can i mark them at? I've seen people at reptile shows mark really young babies, so i just want to be sure it's ok. you can't always trust those guys

a friend and i have an agreement that we are going to split our babies since we used his female and my male. but my friend is younger so i just want to mark the ones that are better eaters for him to take him so he won't have to deal with beardies that won't eat.

thank you :)

well personally i think that nail polish would probably work for that,
i to have seen it used at reptile shows, and the person that i got my Beardie from
used it to mark the gender of the babies, and they looked very healthy,
so if i was in that situation i would use it, as long as it was dry before i
put they back together, (if they are together) because i wouldn't want them to
lick wet nail polish,

:blob8: :blob5: hope this helps ya :blob5: :blob8:

ps: sorry for the late reply

You can also use fabric paint. It's no toxic and come in lot of colors, I feel its safer then fingernail polish.
Since babies shouldn't be sold before 6 weeks, I don't see why you would need to mark them before that.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
