Male or female?

So my bd has been trying to dig I have tile substrate and running around and just all around crazy all of a sudden and I thought he was a male and now I’m second guessing. I’ve tried to sex him by looking for one bulge female and bulges male and he looks like a male but is acting like egg laying behaviors. I sent a picture can you please help thank you.

Definitely a male.

Males can get hormonal like that too when they are ready to find a mate.
