Don't really know what is going on. Both are the same age and size when we got them. The male has shed for the 3rd time now and the female has not even shed one time. He is over twice her size now. She dose eat and she does act normal. I just don't understand. :dontknow: Anyone know what might be going on?

yes they are, I will start to set the other 20L up and move her over. She was in there eating worms and I grabbed the green horn warms and he took it off my finger and ate it. Then a got one more and she took it off of my finger and I said "that's my good girl" LOL But guess I need to move her.

Eating isn't the only factor that goes into growth. A stressed animal will not grow as fast as an unstressed animal, even if kept the same. And like others have mentioned, it would be best to get her separated, and go from there. It would be even better if you are able to keep them out of sight of each other.

I am glad you will be moving her, just remember, that can still set off a bit of relocation stress, so don't get worried if after you move her she seems to lose a bit of her appetite, it should come back once the relocation stress settles, if there is any.

She should do better once they're separated....one thing to add, it would be best to let her remain in the original tank. It would be better to move the male, since he can tolerate the stress of moving to new tank better than she can. She should do fine after that. :)

Very good suggestion! I wish I would have thought of that.

well I moved her into the new tank before I read this and she looks happy. She sat there for about a min and just looked around, then tried to eat the wooden log  she ran around and then hopped up on the rock hut. I want to see if she would eat so I got a green horn worm and was tring to put it next to her BUT she said that's good right there and she ate it off my finger. I was tring to get a pic of her eating it but I was to slow. She is under the heat lamp now :D And on the othe hand Fred is mad at me for moving her

it's good that you separated them. stress can cause so many problems. it can increase the amount of parasites that they have and can make them sick, and it can be passed on to other beardies.

did you happen to get them at a petstore? it was recommended to me to take ANY animal purchased from a petstore to the vet to be checked out.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
