OK so Horace is scraping at the floor with his front legs as if he is trying to dig, why???

I understand female digging but not male.

I did a search of the site but couldn't find anything.

We have only had him 2 days now, so is it just stress?

Thanks in advane for any help

Does he do this when he's going to sleep? Both my boys dig when trying to get comfy for bed (lol altho they're usually just digging into my skin or the repti-carpet). but they'll dig with their front arms nonetheless for a minute or two before they squigle and go to sleep. He may just be trying to get comfy :)

Nah it wasn't his bed time, but he is sleeping again now so will see if he does it again tomorrow.

Thanks very much for your reply

My 2 males also dig - usually when going to sleep as the above poster said - but also other times - randomly

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
