Male bearded not eating after mating!! Help!

Hi guys! I am worried as my handsome male hypo trans, after mating with the female, he hasn’t eaten since. It’s been about a week since he last ate and he has become visually thin. The backbone has protruded out and his tail bone is visible.

Is it normal for males to not want to eat after mating?! What can I do to rectify this issue?!

Also... he still walks around his tank and bobs his head once a while. I’m worried and any experts who don’t mind sharing the light? I’ll be super grateful! Thank you!!

They do become preoccupied with mating + can go off food at times like this. Be sue to block his view of any other dragons .Can you post pics of him ? Here;s how :

his view is already blocked from the female after mating already.

he does poop everyday or most of the days, but the poop is Very tiny as he didnt eat.

He's O.K. Still has good body weight. This is normal and he'll start eating at some point, just when you're ready to tear out your last patch of hair.

can anyone advice? have taken a photo of his poop. i know its off from the normal poop.

he goes to the bathroom like Inappropriate language removed by Moderator this almost everyday cause he didnt eat much, either this or a little stickier.

It looks like not a lot of food passing through but decent sized urate being formed.

Hi cooperdragon, meaning it's alright? and yes i suspect because he hasnt been eating. he ate ONE superworm only the other day. he gets soaks and sunbaths but i really hope he starts eating. there are veges and worms available to him 24/7 in his tank.

As long as he isn't losing significant weight and he is active he should be OK. Just keep making food available to him as you've been doing. An adult of his size is capable of going without food for quite some time if need be.

so my champ decided to take a superworm today! so happy! hope he continutes to eat
