Making the switch from Roaches to anything else??

I recently aquired some sub adults from other breeders and they were fed predominately roaches as a staple, Well as fl law has it the aquisition of live roaches is illegal here.Which leaves me stuck with crickets, supers, and goliath worms as treats. Has anyone ever had any experience with this sort of happening?? The animals in question will show interest in live food by the attentiveness to the other feeders, but will not strike. I take all food out of the enclosures after a couple hours and reintroduce them the next day. It's only been a couple of days, but im used to purchasing baby males form other bloodlines to do my outcrossing with and keeping my females. So they pretty much eat right out of the box. Thanks ahead of time for any help!!

I know a few people in Florida that have dubias. :silent: :wink: I am not sure that roaches all are illegal though I may be wrong.

No one that I have talked to will ship here. I was told the climate was to similar to that of which they come from and that they could be an invasive species. But maybe I need to do some more digging around.

They are illigal because is possible for them to survive in certain parts of florida if they excape. I think you might try silkworms. From what i have read its not too hard to breed them if you go through the trouble.
