Could someone just possibly tell me if all of the things I'm doing are ok?
So I have a year old beardie named marty who is 13 inches (due to tail nip) he eats about 20 large crickets in the morning as well as one or two superworms (heads still on). Some other things he eats are butterworms, silkworms, and hornworms. Dubias are illegal where I live so that was never an option. Marty is I ally full after all the crickets and supers and that keeps him full until I get home from school and feed him an additional 10-15 crickets. He is also given fresh veggies which usually consist of mainly romaine, collard and dandelion greens, alternating with a little bit of butternut squash, kale, bell pepper, peas, mango, carrot, banana, strawberries, blueberries and bearded dragon bites, all sprayed with a multivitamin and water to keep him hydrated. He gets bathed 2x a week. He is In a 40 gallon enclosure with tile. His lighting is the powers on 160 watt UVA/UVB/heat and it works amazing for daytime. At night he has a 100 watt ceramic heater. He has a thermometer on both sides if the tank and his hot side is 96 degrees and his cool side is about 74 (I am purchasing a small heater for that side of the tank as it is a bit chilly.) he poops every 1-2 days. He's overall a wry friendly boy and have never had a problem with biting or anything.
Does everything here sound good here? I have had him for 4 months and have never ran into any major problems.
Thanks, Maggie and marty
