Draco lives in a 4" viv. But it is boring. I would like to liven it up a little. Maybe put a background on it. I like the rock effect one. Can anyone give me step by step instructions and materials. It would be very much appreciated. x

lol...first off, I named my dragon Draco as well....

Anyways, I built him a 57"x24"x19" viv over the winter and used a couple methods I saw while looking through the viv picture thread. Basically, I used styrofoam from a cooler that was used to transport tropical fish in. I cut it up into big enough sections and glued them together to create a big enough to create a rock-face background for Draco's viv.

Test fitting the size:

After drawing some rock shapes, I tool a dremel tool and a wire brush to gouge the styrofoam and create the rock pattern.

After about 5 coats of grout and 3 coats of shellac, here is the end product:

Very easy and relaxing to do...

Like you said, great minds think alike...my Draco is just a tad bit under 5 months old and I still do not know the sex of him/her...

Not to bogart the thread, but KnobCreek, what glue did you use? I know that the styro/styrene requires a solvent free glue (or it'll melt and make for weaker points) but I'm having a heck of a time finding any.

I actually used Roberts Wall Base Adhesive 7200. Seems to have worked OK for me.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
