We're new to having a bearded dragon. We have Mikkon, a 15 month old male, in a 50 gallon terrarium. I'm wondering if it's okay to feed Mikko maggots that I bred myself with fresh fish flesh and local flies. He loves them, I'm just not so sure about the nutritional content of the maggots. Thoughts?

You can breed flies for your beardie, and feed him the maggots, but they need to be solider flies. Repti worms are solider fly larvae (or maggots). I'm not sure if the black soldier fly is a typical fly or not, this is something I'm still looking into doing myself. :)

I've heard of a lot of people buying the worms and then having them grow into flies and mating them. I've also heard that some companies sterilize so they can't breed, but I'm honestly not 100% sure on which one or if it's even true.

Here is reptiworm's site: http://reptiworms.com/

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
