Madoka isn't even hungry

Madoka keeps opening her mouth when she sits under her heat lamp. I thought she was doing it because she was hungry, but she just ate. Oh well, whatever reason she's doing it, its adorable!

I found out why she was opening her mouth. Still, she's so adorable!

Ahh I have no idea why the picture isnt working.. I'm a new owner so I had no idea what she was doing, I just knew it was cute ?

That confused me when I first saw it as well. I thought it meant he was hungry so I kept putting worms in his mouth

They do it to regulate their temperature as mentioned. They can enjoy the high temperatures while keeping their heads from overheating. It's totally normal and means they're enjoying the basking temps =)
