Alright, assuming that the sliders you have are 1/2" and 1/4", you want to have it 1/8" shorter than the space between the two wood pieces. Assuming that they are exactly right, the space between the two wood pieces is 19 inches, so you want the plexiglass to be a LITTLE smaller than the space, but enough so that you can easily snap the glass in. So if you think you can snap in a 19 incher, that can work fine, but that will be a very tight fit, so it might be better to get it cut to 18 7/8".
Bear in mind I am not the best at construction, but this should work just fine. Getting a second opinion wouldn't hurt, but keep in mind that there still needs to be at least some overlap on both sliders so it fits in. Mine unfortunately got cut a little longer down than I wanted, but it still works.

TO OBTAIN PANEL WIDTH: Surface installation-cut panel 7/16" LESS than height of finished opening. Recessed installation-cut panel 7/16" LARGER than height of finished opening.
TO OBTAIN PANEL WIDTH: Add 1/2" to opening width & divide by 2 for doors that overlap 1/2". Add 1" to opening width for 1" overlap

maybe i should have checked this out before order this track... just noticed that its 7/8" wide... my wood is only 3/4" wide... sigh

That's not good at all.
You can always try canceling your order, or try working around it. It would be much harder to work around it, though.

You will have to cut it up for top and bottom, so make sure you get the measurements right, but this is what I used for my tank and it works perfectly. It even has prime this time (didn't have it when I ordered it >_>)

i just went to lowes. purchased plexiglass, right next to the plexiglass was a cutting machine. the guy working there said that they do in fact cut it for you. if i had the dimensions i would have had him do it. but i want to check that first. said as long as you have your receipt showing that you purchased it there they can cut it

this is it so far... i didn't get the plexiglass cut correctly, so im unable to install it... i finished piecing it all together, cut holes for vents and cords, added vents, caulk and almost done... im questioning the 45w bulb i have for it. so i may be taking a trip back to home depot to try a couple different ones out... hoping to get the plexiglass cut alittle more

and there is the plexiglass... its a hair shy... thats with the top of the glass all the way up inside the top track... just a bit shy of getting in there

That must be annoying. You sure you can't snap it in? It can be a pretty tight fit if you want it to get in right.
