Loves greens but hate color

Ok I dont know how to but this. Ok I have try sever time butting differnt think for her to eat in her bowl she will not touch her salad if it has carrot, vitm, or squash in it. If it just all green she eats like there is no tomorrow. So is ok for just to eat greens and bugs. Right now she gets Collors. I give her 1/2 a leaf becouse mine are HUGE. Evere thing in the tank is what it suppost to be.

I wouldn't worry, the green salad (e.g. collard, endive, escarole etc) is the best salad so its good that she's eating that, although i would offer more than 1/2 a leaf- you can cut the leaves into small pieces. Carrots should only be fed occasionally anyway so its not bad that she's not eating that.

Mine won't eat anything other than the greens from his salad either. I just mix it up between mustard greens and turnip greens...once in a while collard greens.

I have tried shredded squash (i've tried yellow squash and butternut), carrots, watermelon and some other foods. The only thing he ate out of these was carrots and they aren't a good staple. Right now while he is young I figure I should be happy that he is eating his greens...He eats 1 to 2 full leaves a day. Once he starts slowing down on the live feeders, I will worry about getting him to eat a more varied salad.

She does not eat all of her greens and the leaves of callors that I get are about as big as my head that is why only 1/2. Do cut them up in small peaces. She only eats about 1/2 of what I give her, but she is fat and happy

The leaves that I get are huge too. I just rip them up into really small pieces. If she eats the full 1/2 leaf, maybe try putting the other half in later. I usually tear up half a leaf in the morning and put it in his tank...he probably eats 80% of it. Then I dump the other 20% and put in the other half of a leaf at lunch time just to keep everything fresh. He usually eats this entire portion of leaf by the time I get home from work. Then I usually take a different kind of leaf (if he had turnip in the morning mustard and vice versa) and rip it up and stick it in there. Sometimes he will eat this and sometimes he won't.

Also, it depends on how old your beardie is. If they are less than 1 year, I think a diet of feeders and greens is ok. I was concerned about my beardie eating too many greens and people told me that most young ones won't touch them so I am lucky so I am not pushing veggies as long as he eats the greens.

If your beardie is older and has already cut back on the live feeders, it is probably more important to get her to eat veggies.

Yea she is 13 mouths old. she was a little under wieght so i was feeding her feeders everday, but I am thining about cutting her down to everother day and she how she does.

The only thing that works for Tohru is waving it infront of her face then keeping it still and see if she takes a bite. If you really want to try something new like squash I would only give her that with no greens. That way she has little choise but to eat it. Ofcorse you dont need to do that but it is fun to give them lots of different things to eat. :mrgreen:

OK now I am a little worried she has not eaten her greens in a few days. She is sleeping in her cave more. the only time she eats is when i but her feeders in there which are suppors

Ok my bearded is weard I have to pick her up and put her near the the green befor her will eat them. :roll:

Sometimes my dragon wont eat unless I hand feed her :roll: . They can be really lazy sometimes.
