My dragon escaped from his enclosure yesterday, I have searched every square inch of the 2,000 sq ft. of the main floor, looked in every box, bag, shoe, everywhere. Tomorrow i will search another floor of the house. Does anyone think he will eventually come out from hiding, for food, or will he stay where ever he is!!!

I'm so sorry that your beardie escaped his enclosure. They are sneaky little boogers.

Have you look on/behind draperies? Mine likes to hang on for dear life onto the drapes.
They tend to like to crawl into the tightest spaces, even places that you'd never imagine could fit a beardie.
They are also good at climbing stairs, especially if they're carpeted.

My oldest used to go missing on a daily basis and I eventually gave up on trying to find him. A day later, he'd mysteriously appear in the middle of the living room, acting as if nothing had happened.
If the house is cold, then no, he won't come back out on his own.

Tasty Treat always ends up by the heater. Mr Dargon will go to a dark area and go to sleep.

If you have a cricket cage put that in the middle of the room. maybe the movement will attract your beardie.

Definitely look in any dark tight spaces as Goonie suggested. A lot of times they'll run off and find a good place to curl up and go to sleep

Spike has a very bad habit of crawling under the end table. I finally had to put a wrap around it. Sampson loves to run into the bathroom. :banghead: Chances are you will find him in the least likely place!

Try leaving the basking rock out with a light over it. he may look for a nice warm spot. If there is any bags check in those too. And in shoes and places with wires.

Put out a light, a rock and a bowl of greens. Our beardie knows where his viv is, and usually ends up near it somewhere. But last time we lost trck of him he was found in a bedroom under some papers. :p

good luck!

Whatever you do, don't get a new dragon because you can't find him. He will turn up alive. Rarely will people lose their dragon and find them you-know-what. Don't give up. Try to leave food out.

I just set Swordtail's timer for his bath and paused it so I could actually fill his soaking bowl up and he crawled over my phone and canceled the timer 🤣
Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
