Lost beardie in AZ!!

My parents don't have a backyard fence but he ran to the neighbors who have a cinder block fence with drain holes at each bottom brick...he went through one of those and into their backyard. They live on an acre too like my parents and their backyard is huge, all desert with little holes everywhere. They have a shed on a cement pad with holes under it, he could've gone there. I leave water in front of those holes. I look everyday and always see lizards, but not him. I miss him so much, I worry about all the bad things that could happen to him out there and wonder if something already did. Hurts. There's so many owls, Hawks, snakes...and other bigger lizards competing for his food. I just don't know where he could've gone, their backyard is huge but I keep seeing only other lizards. My poor little baby, he was the sweetest thing. Now my daughter is fine but I'm still having a really hard time. Just hope he doesn't suffer!

I am so sorry, that has got to be a horrible feeling knowing he is out there & worrying if he is still out there, scared, or if something has already happened to him. Since it is such a large area there, you may not find him. Can you put any of his favorite foods out there, possibly? He definitely could have run underneath of the building though, they will run & hide like that very quickly.

I just found this from Diane. I hope and pray you find him. I live about a 4 hour drive from there so I can't help you to find him. I do know that God knows where he is and I pray He helps you to find him.

My parents and I put squash and water out everyday...it was his favorite. My parents told me I need to start thinking about how I may never find him, and my daughter is already asking for another beardie. I just am not ready for any of that, I can't give up on him. I feel so sad for him, and hopeful that he found a good hiding spot...there are so many good ones. I wish he was bigger, then finding him would be so much easier. Thank you everyone! I will update this!

FalcorsMama, did you put any posters up? If not, that might be a good idea. Also calling your local vet to let them know about him in case someone mentions it to them.

Really sorry to hear about your beardie and I really hope you do find him. That said, I'm sure you know this already but keep an eye out for rattlesnakes. Any place a beardie would like to hide would also be someplace a a rattlesnake would like to hang out as well.

I manage a range out in Buckeye and we've seen more than usual lately. In fact Goodyear PD had to take care of one during a training session a few weeks ago.
