Looking For Affordable And Honest Dubia Supplier

Hey guys, I've had a few rough experiences so far with buying dubias online and I've had no luck finding them locally. So I was wondering if anyone here on the forums offers them for sale at good prices?

Let me know as soon as possible please - Draiga just finished off her last ones.

I actually did decide to take a leap of faith and try them out. I ordered about 100 - will they come in a sack like that?

I'm not 100%, but I think they should. I ordered about 500 then a few females and males in a previous order and they came in a 500 nymphs in a bag then the adults had 2 separate bags like that too.

Just a little tip; The easiest way to take them out is to dump as much as you can out, then flip the bag inside out to get the rest stuck on the bag off(I did this off camera).

Dubi Deli replied to my emails pretty quick to so you can email them any questions and they will respond pretty quick. They also have a guaranteed live arrival too.

Got my order today, come to find another bad experience. I'm sitting here with literally half to three fourths of my order DOA , not to mention that they are so TINY! Yeah small means small.. but these are extra small.

Disappointed again. :roll:
Still need a steady and reliable dubia supplier.

Awww sorry to hear, did you try to contact Dubi Deli?

The only other option I can think of is try craigslist. You maybe able to haggle with the craigslist ads I do lol.
For example it will say "100 dubias for $10.00" then I reply and say "can I buy 200 nymphs and 5 females(or something) for $20"

I see you're in Denver and I haven't checked craigslist there but down here in the Pueblo region I don't have much luck ordering them locally. I used redearthworms.com and backwaterreptiles. I did not have issues with either of them, just the local USPS office. I have a small colony going myself though as its very inexpensive to maintain just expensive to start specifically the roaches themselves.

I didn't bother to contact them since last time I dealt with an online dealer it was terrible customer service and the people just argued with me. I do check craigslist quite frequently and one of the people that offers dubias on there here where I live, I know for a fact has a dirty supply and very inconsistent. One time they had offered a roach that wasn't even a dubia! :roll:

Thanks Heckapunchez I'll check them out. I'm having such bad luck. I hate roaches so I definitely couldn't start my own colony but I swear I'm getting fed up with the search. I've tried like three places already and two local people all with no good luck.

The other places I haven't tried because the prices seem to be kind of steep with the whole shipping thing.

Keelah-- I find it curious that you didn't call them to let them know that most of the dubias they sent you died? If they have a guarantee, you should take advantage of it! It seems silly to just complain and then not ask for a refund from the company you ordered from.
Have you looked into ABDragons.com? Ive had exceptional luck with them!

The one time I tried Dubi Deli and it was great. There are always exceptions though and sometimes things just don't work out. I would have definitely called them and seen what they have to say. Worst case, it doesn't get resolved and you move on but never know unless you try. Also I have had super dealings with http://buydubiaroaches.com/. Out of prolly around 3000-4000 dubias I've ordered from them, I have yet to receive a dead one. They have cut back the amount they sell though i'm assuming cause they are being swamped with orders haha but a well worth place with quick shipment.

Best bet if you want to know the exact conditions of your roaches is to just breed your own. That's what i'm doing so I know exactly what goes into them and how they are kept. Plus it saves money and in winter time, I won't have to go anywhere if it snows to feed Harley.

I got an email from a concerned member about someone on this thread who had a DOA package but didn't contact us, Dubi Deli. We have the best policy on DOA where we will ship you out a replacement order at no extra cost to you. We ask that you send us pictures of packaging and bugs within 3 hours of delivery. We find that most of the DOA happens when temperatures are high in the receiving area and the PO attempts delivery. Those little delivery trucks get very hot inside and if you are towards the end of the route or they started late in the day, you could end up with some cooked bugs. This is why we provide a season shipping option and place a hold on the package if temperatures are out of the range 40-93F.

A DOA can happen at no fault to the provider. We always send healthy clean bugs that are well packaged but death is always a chance you take when you ship something live in the mail especially during the heat waves we have had.

To the person that had a DOA but did not contact us, please send us an email at [email protected]. I would like to talk with you about your situation. A hungry animal is a bad thing!

Been away for a few days due to my poor health but came back to find this.

Thank you for contacting Dubi Deli for me Justin - I certainly would have just let this one be counted as a loss. I'm way too stressed out to have dealt with that myself, so I appreciate you taking initiative for me.. It totally made my day.

Jzxweet, I just got around to the message and have responded with the details.


The temperature here actually wasn't bad and I had gotten to the package on time - I was aware of the DOA policy except I made the mistake of leaving them out a few hours, assuming when I shook them out into my kritter keeper container and they looked dead, that they were just playing dead. So I left the container chillin' on the table until later when I was going to get the accurate count and get them rehydrated for the accurate weight. About the size issue I had, it's just that they were a lot smaller than I had imagined since even though I had bad experiences with companies in the past, the smalls I had ordered were always very fat and actually graciously sized.
