So I've been lurking for awhile. I have male beardie and soon to be a female beardie. I know that they aren't suppose be together due to bulling etc. Well I'm looking into building a enclosure for them. I want to build something that can easily transport but big enough for them to stay in. My male 100% has full free range of our bedroom, but he sometimes sleeps in the middle of the floor. I want to be able to take the enclosure outside daily to get natural sun, but also to be able to bring back inside.so here's my ideal.

I want the enclosure to be up high enough so I don't have to kneel. But short enough to put a ramp down so the can have some time in a pin outside.

Then I would like a panel on top to hide the lights and wires but easy enough to remove.

Looking into having it as 1 side blocked so they can have a hide out. but I can easily open a door to peak in on them.

So do I have to have glass or can I use screen? Also need both to be able to hold some storage

Making a large enough viv for 2 bearded dragons that is easily transportable outside...
Well you do not want to use glass if you are going to take it outside, unless you wanna fry your beardies and eat em.
100% screened vivs are not good, they dont hold temps well and can allow drafts that can cause your dragons to become sick.
If i were you id make 2 seperate vivs here. 1 for inside made of glass. One for outside of screen. You could build a cheap outside viv of all screen and some cheap lumber for around 30$. So you can make a nice viv for them to have inside. The minimum space for a viv for 1 bearded dragon is 4x2x2ft. Honestly i cannot give you an accurate estimate as to what size you should have for 2 due to the fact that they are not supposed to be housed together. IMO if i was to keep 2 in the same viv it would be quite large at probly around 6x4x3ft. As a minimum. but even a 4x2x2 viv would be kind of a pain in the ass to carry in and out of the house. 2 cages would be ideal and if you build it out of cheap wood and screen you can just leave it outside all the time. Just throw a few coats of sealant on the wood and youd be good to go. As for the whole ramp to viv thing. Just put it on somthing that fits your needs. Doesnt have to sit on the floor. Than build the ramp to the height of the viv. thats what i did. Storage wise im not sure exactly what your asking. Do you mean in or outside the living space of your dragons. Your overall post was a little offputting. IMO i would build a seperate base and viv not an all in one, they may become heavy. Especially if made of solid oak and 1/4in saftey glass. :)

I wouldnt do a stackable viv because the one on the bottom wont get as much sun as the one on top.

Mirage came out of brumation on April 26. He was doing great. On May 2 he started acting funny. We just redid his tank, and he keeps going into one of his hides. He just lays there. He shows no intrest in food. HELP!
is tape safe for fixing something in my leopard geckos hide?
Day 3 of brumation. It's a struggle. I really miss my little guy. 😔
