I love taking pictures of Loki but normally just share them on Facebook and on his blog (http://lokibd.blogspot.com). I thought I would share them here in a thread too.

We got Loki on June 13, 2010 from Petsmart. The employee there referred to him as a "she" so we did until recently, and now we're about 90% sure he's a he.

He's really grown a lot in August:

He really wanted to get to the windowsill so I set him there and this is what he did:

Thank you guys! He is going to the vet today (just a well-lizard checkup ) so I have my fingers crossed everything is OK and that this is a good vet.

Loki's trip to the vet went well. We went to the Arizona Exotic Animal Hospital (website at http://www.azeah.com/) and they were really friendly and nice. Loki did not much like the car ride, or getting manhandled by a stranger, but he took it all in stride. We got confirmation he is a boy and the vet said we are doing everything right. He didn't want to poop in the morning as he usually does for a sample, so the doctor swabbed him and got a bit of sample (mostly clear, just small amounts of parasites with nothing to worry about). Naturally as soon as he was put down after that he pooped.

Vet said he's healthy and his weight is exactly on track. He's 66 grams now. As soon as he got home he went right to eating.

I took this pic with my cellphone. He's in a (clear plastic) critter keeper with one of my tshirts for the ride there. Naturally he pooped on the shirt, but oh well.
